Centaurea gymnocarpa is a species that is endemic to Italy. its very silvery leaves are the main attraction. The flowers are like an amethyst corn flowers. Flowering during spring and sporadically through summer.  Its natural habitat is hot rocky areas. While it is an endangered species in the wild, it is happy grow in our australian gardens. a very drought hardy plant.
